A Fall Morning Together at Bishop's Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday, October 10, our Roseville Ranch Montessori families met at Bishop's Pumpkin Patch for our annual fall field trip. From 10:00 a.m. to noon, children and their families explored the patch and enjoyed its activities together.

This outing is for the whole family. Parents, siblings, and other family members came along, which turns a school field trip into a morning families share.

Each child wore a Roseville Ranch shirt made for the day. Families sent a plain white T-shirt to school in September, and each one came back customized for their child. The shirts gave our children a shared look for the morning.

The pumpkin patch is a yearly tradition at Roseville Ranch, and it reaches past the current school year. Mrs. Ashley shared that former families reached out ahead of this year's trip to ask for the date. They wanted to come and welcome our new families. Friendships that begin at our school can carry on after children move on. This morning at the patch is one place they keep growing.

A fall morning among the pumpkins also ties into daily life on our campus. Our children plant, water, and harvest vegetables in our four garden beds through the fall and winter season. Time at the patch lets them see the season's harvest on a larger scale, with their families beside them.

Thank you to our families who met us at Bishop's Pumpkin Patch this year.
